1) Notice anything new on the front page?
We are very happy to be able to announce that our new search function is now in place, powered by the world’s favourite search engine, Google.
This is just one of the features we hope to be introducing in the near future, all aimed at getting the income stream to our charities started in earnest and giving our users more useful aspects to ippimail.
Funds raised will be divided in the usual way. Our regular users’ votes decide where the money goes.

2) What’s been going on at ippimail?
We have a new Developer! We would like to say a big, warm hello to our new technical guru, Tim! We are full of confidence that he will be able to fill the shoes left by Jason, who has now left us but to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude and affection. Good luck to you in the future! Hopefully we will still see you chipping in, in Open Source style!
Since Tim has been on board we have been busy catching up with various behind-the-scenes upgrades and installing the new search function. We are also evaluating a completely new interface which would potentially give some very welcome new features.
Lots of new charities have also signed up. Welcome to them!
After our official launch in March this year, we now have enough users to move into an advertising and revenue phase, which means that funds should start to flow to the charities once the banner advertising proper comes on stream.

3) Please check your supported charities
We have added one or two ‘default’ charities. Please check that your list of supported charities is the way you want it to be.
(Log in to your account and click ‘My charities’ in the navigation bar)

4) Help us spread the word!
We want to get the word out about ippimail!
Please tell all your friends about us. Do you have a blog? Will you mention us? Link to us? Will you tell your boss about us? Perhaps your company would like to support the project by promoting us on your work intranet or website. Do you contribute to forums on the internet? Please consider adding a mention of ippimail to your signature. Every little bit helps!
************************************************************
5) What are your priorities?
What do you want to see on ippimail? More storage? New interface? POP access? Tell us what you are missing. We want to make ippimail the best it can be.
*************************************************************
6) Contribute to the forums!
We would love to see more people use the forums
This will be a very important part of generating the sense of community that we want to foster.
If you are having a problem with ippimail (or anything else!) try the forums, you might get a quicker response there and it will give others the opportunity to help you.
**************************************************************
7) Remember your address!
We have had a few instances of mail being sent to username@ippimail.co.uk or @ippimail.net. We have done our best to ensure that these messages go to their intended recipients but we are bound to have missed a few.
Please remember to tell people your address is username@ippimail.com
Thanks for supporting ippimail!
Best wishes
The ippimail team
P.S. Please use the new Google search feature and others that we add, as these will help raise funds for charities, and please do encourage others to sign up to Ippimail!
P.P.S Also, please consider completing your ‘personal profile’ (behind ‘My profile’ in the blue navigation bar when you are logged in to your account). The banner advertising proper is about to kick in and your profile will enable us to tailor the banners to you which will add value to the advertising and, therefore, generate more funds for you favorite good causes. We cannot overstate the importance of this! ![]()
